# Mendcard > One link and QR sticker per boiler, stove, appliance, vehicle, bike or lock. Log each visit in under a minute; the customer reads the history and the next due, with no account. Mendcard keeps a service card for each boiler, water heater, stove, chimney or flue, appliance, vehicle, bike or lock a trade business looks after. The owner (a heating engineer, chimney sweep, appliance repairer, mobile or bike mechanic, or locksmith) signs in with a passkey (WebAuthn; no password, no email address) and adds visits: date (today or up to 365 days back), work done, parts, and the next due as 6, 12 or 24 months after the visit (day clamped to the month's end), a chosen date, no next due, or keep the due as it was. The card's next due is the due of the latest visit by date that did not choose keep. Each card has a secret link and a QR sticker; the customer opens it with no account and sees the business name, the card title, make and model, the next service due (as a month or a date), the visits marked visible, an Add to my calendar file and an Ask for a visit form (phone number or email address; 3 requests per card per 24 hours; deleted after 90 days). Customer labels, notes, serial numbers and registration plates are never sent to the customer link. A card can get a new link when the object changes hands, and the old link then says the card has moved. Data is kept in a Cloudflare D1 database; link secrets, session ids and the recovery code are stored only as SHA-256 digests. Every card and sticker says it is a service record kept by the engineer and not a gas safety certificate, landlord safety record, chimney sweeping certificate, roadworthiness test or any legal, warranty or insurance document. ## Tool - [Service cards with a customer link](https://mendcard.com/): One link and QR sticker per boiler, stove, appliance, vehicle, bike or lock: the visit history and the next service due, for the customer, with no account. ## How it works - [How Mendcard works](https://mendcard.com/how-it-works/): Cards, visits, how the next due is worked out, the customer link and sticker, visit requests, a new owner of the object, limits, export and deletion, in the order they happen. ## Reference - [FAQ](https://mendcard.com/faq/): What the customer sees, what this record is not, a house or car sold, notes kept from the customer, the next due, reminders, requests, stickers, repairs and stopping paying. - [About](https://mendcard.com/about/): What Mendcard is, what it is not, and the trades it is for. ## Policies - [Privacy](https://mendcard.com/privacy/): Exactly what is stored on the server, where, for how long, and how to export and delete it. - [Terms of use](https://mendcard.com/terms/): What the site can be relied on for, your records, acceptable use and support. ## Pricing Free.
